The Friendly Garage Door Guy is the brainchild of owner and founder Josh Howell, an entrepreneur at heart and an experienced garage door installation and repair specialist in the Twin Cities.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Josh calls the Anoka area his home today and has lived and worked in the Twin Cities region for over 30 years. This experience makes him extremely knowledgeable about how the region's extreme weather affects the performance of garage doors and garage door parts over time.

His passion for installing and repairing garage doors came about after working with another well-known garage door repair service in the area. However, over the years, Josh began to see how the industry was positioned to unfairly burden local homeowners with exorbitant and sometimes unnecessary repair costs on a vital part of the home.

A garage door not only provides shelter from the elements for a property owner’s vehicles, tools, and other recreational vehicles, but it’s also often a first line of defense for secured access to the home. It can typically set the tone when it comes to a property's street appeal and perceived value.
